Journal: Blur Motion

1) Blur motion is an image where a subject is almost completely still, and the back round is in motion, it is blurred out. These images are really cool because they have a appealing look and you can get pretty creative when it comes to blur motion.

2) To create a Blur motion you need to adjust your shutter speed, it needs to be a tad slower then usual in order to get that super speed effect. Then you adjust your ISO which is the film speed, thats one of the key things when trying to do blur motion images.

3) My subject when in school will be my classmates who i will be shooting with trying to create the blur motion effect that i will try to create using my classmates. Out of school it can be any object or subject that i want, it can be anything from a car, friend, city lights, etc.

4) You adjust your shutter speed, which slows down or speeds up how fast you take the camera, obviously you have to slow down the shutter speed to create the blur motion. You also adjust the ISO which is the sensitivity to the light.

1. The first image is a man on a bicycle riding around a park i would say and this picture was taken from a side angle, there is a blur motion behind the man on the bicycle. I am sure that the blur motion in the back are cars and maybe even street lamps.

2. This photo was taken at a regular angle, there are about three people in this picture but because since it was taken in blur motion it makes it look like there's more than three people. They were moving in all different directions and posing differently to create that blur motion effect.

3. This picture was taken from a worms eye view, there is a guy riding a motorcycle and the back round is in blur motion, the road is blurry, and even the buildings are in blur motion.

4. This is a picture taken of a kid on a marry go round, while they are spinning the photography only focuses on the kid so that the back round is in blur motion, you could tell its in blur motion because the people is are blurry and can't tell what they are doing.

5. This a black and white photo of a little girl who is swinging on a home made swing set, while she is swinging they are taking a picture of her. This photo is in blur motion because the back round is blurred out while the image is really focusing on the little girl swinging on the swing set.

6. This is a picture of a train while it is moving, its in blu motion because everything else is still in the picture while the train is the only thing moving.

7. This is another example of a train being in blur motion because everything around the train is focused and still, while the train is in motion passing by.

8. This picture is a man who is in motion, he is running pass this building, this picture is in blur motion because the only thing focused in this picture is the man running. Everything else in the back round is blurred out and in motion.

9. This is a photo of a ride at the state fair, this ride is spinning in circles and it has bright lights which will give it that blur motion affect. And this photo was taken from a worms eye view because this ride looks really huge compared to what it will look like in reality.

10. This picture is a kid skateboarding down a hill, and the kid skateboarding is in focus but the back round isn't because the person in the back is blurred out.

11. This picture was taken from a birds eye view i guess you can say, its in the night time and its this uphill road with a bunch of blurred out car lights that makes the image look like there's just different layers of lights going up and down the road.

12. This is a picture of a gazelle running through the safari probably being chased by a cheetah, but the image is focused only on the gazelle everything else like the weeds and back round is in blur motion.

13.  This is a picture of an African lady who is dressed up probably in traditional clothing who i wanna say is dancing and while she is dancing she is having pictures being taken of her while dancing. That's why you see these other reflections of her.

14. This is a black and white picture of a ballerina dancing and while she is dancing there are pictures being taken of her, this is in blur motion because she was dancing and in motion while her pictures were being taken this giving it the blur motion effect.

15.  This is a picture of an owl who is flying, it is in black and white, it is in motion since it is flying, so while its flying there was a picture taken of it, you can see the blur motion because of the wings, they are flapping.

16. This picture was taken at the horse races, the horses and the riders are racing and while they are in motion the picture was taken. This giving the back round a blurred motion and the horses and there riders are in focus, kind of.

17. This is a picture of a black bird in the jungle in motion and while its in motion a picture of him was taking of him. Since he was in motion because he was flying it gives it the blur motion effect.

18. This is another picture of a bird who is flying, while it was flying its picture was taken, and the back round it was blurred out as for its wings. The back round is like a pinkish or blueish back round so it looks cool.

19. This is a picture of a red car, and everything else is in black and white, the car is blurred out because its in motion while everything around it is in focus. This picture was taken from a birds eye view as well.

20. This is a black and white picture of a girl who is posing in front of a camera, she is posing different each time and while she is posing different her picture was being taken giving it the blur motion effect.

21. This is a picture of a bus i want to say somewhere in down town i am assuming, it is in motion obviously because it is driving down the street and there are also other vehicles that are moving. The only thing in the image that is not blurry is the grey building.

22. This is a picture i'm guessing somewhere in New York because of the tall buildings, there is this yellow taxi cab that is in motion while everything else in the picture is still. This is blur motion because the only thing blurry in the picture is the yellow cab because it is in motion.

23. This is a picture of a black Audi who that is in motion while driving down the street, the thing that is not blurry in this picture is the car other then its rims. Everything else is blurry, the lights in the back round are blurry.

24. This is a picture of a red car that is speeding down in a street because everything around the car is blurry, the trees and the road, and any person who is walking down the street if any. The only thing that is not blurry is the red car.

25. I want to say this is a water fountain with something on top that is spinning because its the only thing that is blurry in the image. There are other stores or whatever they are that you can see that are still, this has to be somewhere down town because this picture was taken at night time.

1. the first image is this women who is being stepped on by a huge pink croc, this image uses force perspective because the camera man made the person's foot look huge compared to what his actual foot size is. Giving this affect that the women that is being squished look smaller then usual. How i think they created this force perspective was first, the women who is being squished had to lay down at a far distance in order for her to look small. The pink croc is positioned a lot closer to the camera to give it that huge effect.

2. This second image is a man who looks huge in the frame along with his shoes, the idea of this picture is to make the man look huge, the whole purpose of it is that he looks like a giant. The way they created this force perspective is first, the shoes of his are positioned really close to the camera to make them look huge. Then the guy with the glasses has to be positioned in a way that he is large enough to fit in those "big" shoes. Once he has positioned his legs correctly then all he has to do is bend over forward so he's close enough to the camera to make him look like a giant.

3. This third image is some one holding a paint can pointing it up to the sky positioning it next to a cloud giving the effect that there is spray paint coming out. This force perspective isn't really hard to do, as long as you have a cloud and a spray can its fairly simple but then again you need to find the right shape of cloud. The spray can has to be positioned close to the fame to make it look big because its the main object for this image. Then from there all you gotta do is position the spray can correctly next to a cloud, but make sure the cloud is the right shape to make it look like spray is coming out.

4.  This is a picture of a building but instead your only see the bottom half of the building, and the rest of the building is being covered by the upper body of a lego to make it look like the bottom half of the building is the legs of the lego. What this person did to create this force perspective was the man had to stand at a far distance, and the upper body of the lego was more at a closer distance because the size of the building and the lego had to be the same size or else it wouldn't look right.

5. This is a picture of a little girl that has her hand on top of a helicopter making it look like a toy helicopter, the way this force perspective was set up was the helicopter had to be at a far distance clearly because its a much larger object compared to a little girl. As for the girl she had to be at a much closer distance to make her appearance look huge compared to the helicopter, she basically had to look like a giant compared to the helicopter. This is how the this force perspective was created and its actually pretty cool.

6. This picture is a women who has a fishing net, is making it seem like she's catching the moon, this force perspective was created by the women standing fairly close to the camera because she needs to be able to "reach" up and catch the moon with her fishing net. This isn't a hard image to re-create, its just a matter of positioning and being still to get the right effect that your "catching" the moon.

7. This is a image of a small little man that is blowing into a green colored balloon, it looks like the ballon is twice its size and how is this possible. well. the way the created this force perspective was the balloon is already blown up obviously, but to make the man look smaller then the balloon he is standing at a far distance. The balloon is positioned very close to the camera, obviously the camera man is probably holding it but its really about positioning now, so when its positioned in the right spot to make the illusion that the little man is blowing into the balloon, snap the picture. This is how this force perspective was created.

Project Proposal Journal

1. The type of photography i picked was "shoe photography", shoe photography is when you walk around the city or whatever setting your in and take pictures of shoes or your subjects shoes. You can put them in any position you want, its fairly a simple subject to do but very tricky when it comes to trying to be creative with them.

2. I am going to shoot the images by placing the shoes in different settings, putting them in different positions that looks cool, take pictures of my subjects shoes when they're wearing them, when they're walking around, and try to be somewhat creative with them. I like shoes, i used to collect so many shoes but out grew them and then lost the point in collecting them.

3. it doesn't matter the location or who ever is your subject, anywhere around your house, outside of your house, down town, in a store, it doesn't matter the location. The only thing that probably matters is maybe the type of shoes, you don't want a basic shoe like a dress shoe, or sandals, maybe shoes that have color or a drawing on them, something that makes them look cool and stand out.

4. Mainly i want to shoot around my house, down town areas, if the setting catches my eye and i can picture the image in my mind, then ill make it happen, it doesn't matter where as long as its pleasing to my eye and it looks good.

5.I've always wanted to do this type of photography, and now that i have the chance too its great, i've always found taking pictures of shoes appealing to me. I feel like its another way of being creative with photography other then just taking a picture of a person, its being creative with clothing.

Project Proposal #2

1. The type of photography i picked for this project is a variety of portraits, which is basically having a subject and taking portrait like pictures of them. It doesn't matter the setting.

2. I' am going to shoot these images in the down town area which is one of my favorite places to take pictures at, i love the different settings like the parking garage, the alley ways, inside different buildings, its a pretty creative environment.

3. It doesn't matter the location for this type of photography neither does the subject matter, you can take a picture of anyone everywhere it really isn't a specific type of photography.

4. I am going to shoot down town, that's the only place i'm planning on shooting for my photography project, nowhere else catches my attention.

5. Portrait photography is another one of my favorite types of photography, its really easy for me especially if its a creative environment.

Project Proposal #3

For my third individual project, I took pictures of my basketball team this year, I will use these pictures to post on my project page, I just thought I would take pictures of my team instead of just recording there games. The most important thing about taking action pictures when you don't have such a fast shutter speed, is timing. My timing had to be perfect most of the time because I didn't want my pictures to come out blurry, I hope you like them. I tried my best to really take a picture at the perfect time, when they were shooting, dribbling the ball, or even standing. This is my individual project number three.

Project Proposal #4

-For my fourth individual project i will be taking pictures of hands/jewelry , I decided to take these kind of pictures because its something different from any other type of photography that i've done.  I'm going to be using my friends hands and her jewelry, were going to be taking pictures of her hands at school around the area, around plants, inside the buildings, and where ever else theres places to take pictures of hands/jewelry. This project isn't going to be as hard, its fairly simple you just have to use great angles, make sure that the picture is in focus and that it looks clear. This is going to be my fourth individual project i hope you like it. This will be something different for me, i usually don't like taking pictures of something simple like hands so lets see how this turns out .

Project Proposal #5

-For my 4th individual project I will be doing "Macro Photography" in which its taking really close up pictures of objects. It doesn't have to be a specific object or subject, as long as its an extreme close up picture. I will be going around my neighborhood to see what I can take pictures of, pants , dirt, rocks, trees, flowers, insects, tires, cracks on the cement, maybe a persons skin, eyes, hair, nails, anything that I can take an extreme close up of something and it looks cool or appealing to the eye. It's a really simple type of photography, anyone could do it its really not that difficult of a task, as long as the picture comes out nice and clear and you can identify what it is, you're good. This is what I will be doing for my individual project number four, lets see how it goes and how it turns out. Be ready to try and identify what it is I took an extreme close up of and see all the little details of an object when you take a close of it, because theres so much more to it then what you see from a distance.
