Photography Final
Photo I Photos:

-My first year in photography I was pretty excited, it was my sophomore year and I was really interested in learning photography because I was inspired by some of my friends. I had already had an idea of the type of photography I wanted to shoot, I liked architecture and snapping shots of buildings. Down town was the perfect shooting environment for me because it was filled with buildings, even though they were small buildings that were filled with art. I loved editing my pictures in black and white, it just something about working with the shadows and lighting that made the photo appealing for me. It just added so much depth and small details that wouldn't stand out in a regular color picture. I didn't always do black and white, I did color as well and I was pretty satisfied with the quality of the picture. Learning new types of photography was probably a struggle for me because it was new to me, but eventually I learned how to adjust t it and implement it with my style of photography. My photography really improved when it came to editing my photos. A great picture means nothing without a smooth and clean edit, when I learned to edit and use different shades of light and shadows, the quality of my pictures improved. Overall I felt like the second semester I was well improved with my photography. I was even getting text messages from friends who liked my photography and wanted to schedule shooting appointments which was a great feeling for me. My sophomore photography class was honestly my favorite year for my photography.

-My second year of photography, to be honest it wasn't my best year for photography at all compared to my first year, and it wasn't because I decided to get lazy with my photography. I simply never had the time to go out with friends to places and take pictures for my projects. I'm finishing up my junior year in High School and it took up a lot of my time outside of school with homework, projects, and other activities. The only time I really had to shoot was at school during photography class, when I went out with my friend Kane to take pictures of him before he left to the Air Force, and when I went with some friends to the mountains and around town to take pictures of shoes. Other than that, it was a struggle to keep a consistency to go out and shoot for some projects which I wasn't a fan of but I had to do what I had to do to earn good grades on projects and homework for my classes. So of course I would slack on some of my projects, the edits could of been better, the quality of the image could of been way better, I wasn't the same photographer that I was in photo I. Although I could of been, I didn't have the determination and time to improve my photography and take it to the next level. It is what it is and overall, i still had a blast in my photography class this year. I definitely improved my photoshop skills, it wasn't just filters that I would mess with to edit my pictures so that's a big plus. These are my photos from photo II, not the best but I did what I could with the amount of time I had.
3) From my photo I year to my photo II year, I learned a lot as a photographer and improved my photography as well considering that I was new to the whole photography world. I don't have the same love as I used to for photography but it doesn't mean that I won't bother to go out one of these days to go take pictures. Photography will always be a big part of me and I'll have a passion for it, I don't think I'm going to pursue a photography but it's great to have some experience in it and have knowledge for it. I definitely would encourage people to pick up a camera and go and capture some amazing pictures that will become memories or just a piece of artwork that you yourself will enjoy and appreciate. I still have plenty of pictures I took last year and this year saved in my phone and laptop that till this day I enjoy seeing. Photo I was definitely a memorable experience for me, I learned a lot and as well as my Photo II class this year, I met some great people, and I definitely learned a lot in photography even if I didn't have the time to go shoot and slacked on some of my projects. It was still an overall great experience for me, I definitely encourage many others to join photography class, it can be boring t times but at the same time you have a blast, especially if you have a teacher like Caruso. So, to finish my Photo II class I just want to say thank you Ms. Caruso for being such a spirit lifting teacher, I will definitely miss you and your crazy self, any student will be lucky to have you as a teacher in the future. Well, Cristhian OUT.
