Altered Portraits

1. The hardest altered portrait that I had to create was probably creating the collages was probably the most difficult just because it was hard to think of what kind of collage I wanted to do. There is so many type of collages that you can do but its difficult in the sense on what kind of design your going to do. Its hard to come up with something that will be creative and different from any other collages that you see online or that my other classmates have created. Usually I'll just start doing random things to the image until I finally come up with an idea.
2. The easiest altered portrait that I had to create was probably the hand coloring the image, it took forever but its easy because its just coloring certain parts of the image. Its as simple as that, my hand did start to cramp up because of long it took just to finish this altered portrait but we got the job done. At times it was difficult because I didn't know what part of the image I wanted to color I didn't know if it was going to look good or not.
3. Altered portraits to a viewer seems like just a regular picture with some crazy editing on it to make it look cool, scary, funky, funny, all of the above. The viewers really don't know what meaning the picture has or what was trying to be done to it. As for a photographer they know the meaning, they know the creativity behind the image, they know what was trying to be created or at least have an idea on what is trying to be created.
4. Out of the seven altered portraits I will most likely create the backlit, just because its the most easiest one to do and its fun to mess around with the lighting, make the picture look dark, dark vs bright, make the person glow, or make them look dark. Its very simple and easy to do, but at times its difficult because there isn't a lot of ways of being creative with it.
5. It takes time, it takes a lot of patience, especially when doing the hand coloring, you have to give credit to the photographers who actually hand painted there images to add color. I probably wouldn't have the patience to hand paint a photo nor do a good job on it and make it look like the picture was actually in color and not in black and white. So that's a historical fact that I learned behind one of these altered portraits.
6. I think its important to learn how to alter pictures because I can be creative with an image, If the image looks to plain and basic well i can always add some type of funky alter onto the image. Plus who doesn't wanna know how to alter pictures, do crazy edits with images and making look unreal but appealing to the human eye.
7. I don't think all images should be altered because I think the beauty of some images should not be messed with, If you take an image and its right away appealing to the eye then it shouldn't be messed with it should keep that natural beauty. When an image should be altered is when you just don't want a basic picture or the image you took has no appealing effect to it, so in that case you should alter the image.
8. It allows for your creativity to be shown and expressed to other creators and photographers, I think photography should be fun and enjoyable it altering the image or not. This allows everyone to try something new and express themselves.
Blur Motion

1. Blur motion is being able to take a picture of an object or your subject whatever it is make it look blurry while everything is still, like if you were trying to take a picture of a car while its driving and you want everything else blurry, you just focus on the car instead of focusing on everything.
2. How I created my blur motion images was by sometimes I would shake the camera and keep focus on my subject, or I would slow the shutter speed, and I would keep the ISO at 100. It just depends if your shooting outside then your shutter speed has to be a little faster because if its to slow your letting in to much sun. Opposite for night shooting.
3. In photoshop i didn't do much to my images, I either kept the image in color and edited regularly, or i turned the image into black and white and adjusted the shadows and brightness. I didn't do anything to crazy to my images in photoshop, I keep my images all natural no need for some photoshop.
4. What was difficult about shooting my images was trying to get that blurry image, we had to adjust the camera a lot because we were either shooting outside or we were shooting inside. it was difficult trying to get the right focus for all my images, sometimes i was just trying to focus on my subject or i wanted to focus in on the back round and make my subject blurry. it was overall a challenge but we always get the job done no matter what. I like blurry photos although i do need to work on blur motion more.
5. The easiest part about shooting all my images was really letting my canvas do whatever they wanted to do, they could pose how ever they wanted, there was no adjusting there head or leg or arm it was just them moving in all different directions posing how ever they wanted. Which i like, i feel like there shouldn't be any restriction when it comes to blurry motion. The subject should be aloud to do whatever they want when doing blur motion. They should be able to pose how ever they want.
Forced Perspective

1. My first image is a image of my subject about to be covered with huge cup that is twice her size, the way I created this force perspective by having her stand at a far distance. After that I had the cup in my hand and I paced it upside down holding it in front of the camera at a very close distance to make the cup look huge compared to my subject who looks tiny compared to the cup since she is standing at a distance.
2 & 3 This image is my subject about to be covered by a water bottle, you can see that she is standing at a far distance so that she looks tiny compared to the water bottle. The water bottle i held upside down and held it close to the camera so that the bottle looks huge compared to my subject. Then in the third picture you see that the water bottle "covered" my subject and she's "inside" the water bottle.
4. This image is my subject "holding" up the building, making it seem like she's a giant, the way i created this force perspective by having my subject stand close enough to the camera so that she looks like a giant but stand far enough that the building looks smaller compared to her, so that way she's able to create the allusion that she's holding up the building. Thats how i created the force perspective for this image.
5. In this image i have two subjects, one of the subjects i made loom like a giant and he's holding my other subject like if she's a tiny rag doll. The way i created this force perspective was by having my boy subject stand close to the camera making him look like a "giant" while my other subject is standing at a far distance making her look tiny in the camera frame. I had my boy subject place his hand in the perfect position so that when my other subject jumped in the air, i would capture the allusion of her being held by her head by this giant.
6. This image is m subject "growing" a tree out of her mouth, the way i created this force perspective was having my subject lay down close enough to the camera, all she had to do was open her mouth while myself positioned the tree in the perfect spot to give the allusion of a tree growing out of her mouth. This force perspective was easy to create, not that difficult to do.
7. This is an image of my subject holding the tip of the bubble, this allusion was created by standing far enough from the bubble so that it looks a lot smaller. Then my subject stood close enough to the camera so that she looks fairly bigger then the bubble, then all she had to do was place her hand on the tip of the bubble so that it created the allusion of her holding the bubble.
8. This is an image of my subject tying her shoe on top of a really all wall, the way i created this mage was having us stand far away from the building at first. Then i had her place her foot on the flat edge of the wall and pertain that she is tying her shoe on this tall building, it makes her look like she's a "giant".
9. This is an image of my subject hanging from a soda can, the way i created this force perspective image was having my subject stand away from a distance to make her look tiny in the camera frame. Then i placed the soda can in front of the camera so that it looked huge compared to my subject. I had to get the timing right when my subject jumped, making sure her hands were positioned right on the can so that it made it look like she was hanging on it.
10. This is an image of giant shoe that is about to smash my subject who is laying own on the ground looking like a little ant, the way we created this image was having my subject lay down at a distance and positioning my shoe very close to the camera so that my shoe looks huge compared to my subject.
11. This is an image of my subject "swallowing" a car, the way we created this image by having my subject stand pretty close to the camera so that she looks like huge. I had the camera facing towards the street waiting for a car to pass by, i had to time the snap of the picture before the car passed by. By this time my subject had her mouth open so it was all about timing the snap of the picture giving the allusion that a car is going inside of her mouth.
12 & 13 is two pictures of my hand that i made look huge by placing it very close to the camera, then i first positioned my my subject sitting down in place, then the second picture i flicked my hand making it look like i launched my subject onto the floor because she was a lot smaller compared to my hand. So thats how we created this force perspective image giving the allusion that i flicked my subject away.
14. This image is my subject trying to push the giant trash can, i made her look small by making her stand at a far distance so that she looked small in the camera frame. The trash can was placed very close so that in the camera frame it looks huge, so all i had to do was position my subject in a way that she's trying to push the trash can. This is how we created this force perspective, it was fairly simple to create.
15. this image is my subject looking like a giant about to smash this tiny little flower, the way we created this image was first i had to lay down and look up to my subject. I placed my little flower in front of the frame, and i had my subject stand tall and put her foot over the flower like if she was going to step on it, since i was at an angle of worms eye view, my subject looked like a giant, this is how we created this image.

Shoe Photography

1. I chose this project because i used to be a huge fan of shoes, i still am but i used to collect a bunch of shoes back in my middle school, i juts always loved certain styles of shoes and i felt like just capturing an appealing photo of shoes because its different and unique. You don't see a lot of photography of shoes, plus it was cool taking pictures of shoes that are extremely expensive and stylish, even retro.
2. What i did to get these images was put the shoes in different positions where they would look cool for a picture, some of these positions were inspired from online, i just thought i would use some of my subjects also to make it look like they are fixing there pants or having there feet crossed over the other.
3.the editing i did was a lot of clean highlights and smooth contrast to really give the shoe an appealing look to it, some of these pictures the back round is blurred out to see the writing or designs on the shoe, but it was mostly paying with highlights and some of the shadows to give the shoe or shoes a spotlight.
4. What i learned about this type of photography is to play with different lightings and back rounds for the shoes to be in, like we went to the tram way bridges, awhile ago when it snowed we went up to the mountains some of my friends and i and had a photo shoot with each other and our clothing, we walked around down town and the neighborhoods around it and took pictures there, it was all really about location.
5.There wasn't really anything i found difficult about taking one of these images, i found it easy because some of these images were inspired and most of the time i had an idea of where i wanted to take these pictures.
6. Some of these images could of been better, its kind of difficult to get a clear picture in a basketball gym, i really don't like the grain but over all I'm satisfied with the way these came out.
7. I am thinking of doing dogs, because i love dogs.
Variety Portraits

- For my second individual project i decided to do a variety of portrait shots, this is my good friend kane who i went shooting with on Sunday. We went down town and took pictures in alley ways and on top of parking garages, basically everywhere around the down town area. I basically let him pose however he wanted, on some poses i did tell him to look down or to look at the side but other then that i let him pose ho he wanted. These pictures weren't really that hard to take, kane isn't a very hard person to shoot, he knows i can take some good pictures so he trust me when i'm behind the camera. I really tried to get some cool angles of kane, like i like the pictures where he is standing next to the window and there is a light difference between light and dark. I also like the pictures where theres that tall building in the back round. Another one is the second picture in the last column where i took a picture of him in the elevator and you can see his reflection. These were all really good pictures, i liked the way they came out, i'm very satisfied with the outcome of these pictures. These are my variety of portraits for my second individual project.
Basketball shots

- For my third individual project I decided to take pictures of the basketball team, since I was the manager this year I wanted to take pictures of them also instead of just recording for them. What I did to take these pictures because the shutter speed on my camera isn't that fast, I really had to time they pictures of my friends when they were shooting the ball, dribbling it, or even when they were standing at one point. It was basically all about the timing, timing was very important and an important key factor when trying to take an action picture and not have it come out blurry. They didn't come out to bad since I was timing each picture to take at the right time, although I do wish my pictures took a lot sharper and cleaner pictures instead of so much grain, but its okay its a learning experience. Also shout out to my basketball team for going back to back state champions, very proud! This was my number three individual project, enjoy!
Hands/Jewerly

-For this project my hands/jewelry project, i walked around the campus with my friend taking pictures of her hands with the jewelry she had on. We basically just walked around look for some spots to take pictures of her hands. The only hard part was getting good angles of her hands to get a nice appealing picture. Overall this wasn't one of my best projects but I do like the way some of the pictures came out, I think the ones with the water falling on her hand was pretty cool, that was something different then from what i've seen from "hand" pictures. To get the angles and the hands in the right position was a little tough but we were able to make something work. I hope you enjoy some of these pictures I took of my friend, this is my Hands/Jewelry individual project.

- For my fifth individual project I decided to do "Macro Photography" which is basically an extreme close up picture of an object or thing, it's really simple to be honest. I walked around my school campus and took pictures pf objects that I found cool to take close up pictures of. The only hard thing about this project was getting the lens to focus on the object so that the image came out nice and clear. It was sort of frustrating at times but I was able to get the job done. This is my fifth photography project, I hope you enjoy.
